Dr. Elahe Pourkarimi

Dr. Elahe Pour Karimi has completed her Ph.D. in Environmental Management - Environmental Law at the Graduate School of Environmental Management Science and Research Branch (IAU), in 2016, Tehran, Iran. She also holds a M.Sc. in Environmental Management and B.Sc. in Natural Resources Engineering - Environment, from the IAU. 

She is currently the Executive Manager & Editorial Board Member of CIFILE Journal,Toronto, Canada. She is the current Deputy General Director of the Environmental Legal and Parliament Affairs, Department of Environment, Tehran, Iran. She is also a researcher at the Research Center for Environment and Sustainable Development (RCESD), Department of Environment, Tehran, Iran. 

In her previous work experience, she has served as an Assistant in International City Leaders (Cooperation project between Iran’s
department of environment and UN-Habitat program), Tehran from 2016 to 2018. She was Iran’s representative in the Global Training Program on Environmental Law and Policy, UNEP, Nairobi from 2010 to 2015. She was the Executive Assistant, Symposium on Envisioning the Future of Sustainable Cities of Iran focused of the renewable energies, Tehran from 2005 to 2015. She was a Research Member of the World Assembly of Cities Mayoral Conference on the City Prosperity Initiative Program, UN-Habitat, Vienna from 2007 to 2015.
She was also Iran’s representative in the Seminar on International Environmental Dispute and Chinas Environmental Policy, Shanghai in 2014
